In the Edge Work world, medals are always on the line. There are high stakes, high heat, and a lot of ice time.
MM Sports Romance featuring elite level figure skaters and the men who love them.
Stefan Petryk is figure skating’s golden boy, but after a disastrous performance when it counted most, he’s falling apart under the pressure to redeem himself. When he’s forced to room with a rival at Worlds, he’s certain the break in routine will be the end of everything.
Except… Evan Marquez is charming, patient, and the best artistic skater in the world. Stefan wants to spend more time with him, rituals be damned. Get to know him, learn how he moves the way he does. Stefan’s always assumed he was straight, but everything about Evan appeals to him.
If Evan wants him in return, what will he do? He can’t have a relationship, not with the pressures on his time and energy. He certainly can’t have one with a man. He’s under constant media scrutiny. His sponsors would probably drop him, his fans might hate him.
It’s best for everyone if he just focuses on his skating. Does what he’s supposed to do. Pushes back his feelings like he always does.
But how can he, when Evan is right there all the time?

Back Outside Edge, Jan's story, Luc's story, and at least one more... Expect a new release about every six months for this series.
Book 2 of the Edge Work series, featuring Jan, Stefan's closest rival in the US. Stefan may not be very aware of their rivalry, but Jan certainly is. He's so tired of always coming in second. What, if anything, can he do to finally beat Stefan? Because really, he'd do pretty much anything.
Title and cover to be announced!
Baz Navarre writes spicy MM Figure Skater Romance. Since he loves MM Romance and figure skating, why not put them together and get the best of both worlds? He lives in Northern California with two cats and many, many plants.
Yes and no! While the original inspiration for the concept of Back Outside Edge did come from a couple of very specific real life moments, most of the similarities between, for example, Stefan and Ilia Malinin, are entirely coincidental. I have watched a lot of figure skaters over the years, so each character is based more on a type than a specific individual.
I hope, for their sake, that the real life figure skaters of the world are much more emotionally mature than any of my characters at the beginnings of their story. In fiction, we begin with highly messed up people, so they can go through a dramatic transformation. I don't wish that level of messed-up-ness on anyone in real life!
Not unless you count one semester in college a million years ago! However, I grew up loving figure skating, and once I started to write these books, I jumped into a (honestly) ridiculous amount of research. I'm certain I made mistakes (some of which I already know about, others of which I'm sure will make themselves known over time), but by and large, the rules of the sport are as accurate as I could get them.
That said, despite my attempts to make the books timeless, the ISU is currently changing rules every year - sometimes rather dramatically. So please be aware that the rules used in my books are based on a specific real life time frame (e.g. Back Outside Edge uses 2025-26 rules and scoring). So take it all with a grain of salt.
As of now, while you can buy the papaerback version direct from here, shipping is really expensive. I'm so sorry about that! The direct sales publisher that the website uses currently only allows shipping from the UK - so if you're elsewhere, that's expensive. HOWEVER, in the (hopefully near) future, more printing locations will open up. So if you'd rather wait for that day, I won't be offended.
